From where-ever you come, we wish you welcome! We are a tiny company, a lodge in a small valley: an "outpost" in Tiveden... yet surprisingly 'close' and convenient to reach! But a two hours' drive from from Gothenburg (200 km), and slightly more than three hours from Stockholm, Granvik lies in the centre of southern Sweden: less than an hour from several airports and train stations. The character of our company, the variety of our lodgings/facilities, and the span of our restaurant's cuisine, together with the four distinct seasons encountered in this part of Sweden, make us many things to many people. Surrounded by lawns and nature preserve and housed in an 1860's 'forest-baron' villa with a lovely lake view, it is the heart of our resort and conferance centre. Specialities include L.Vättern fish,game and Swedish and continental food,with some N.American specialities.Lodgings
- Nine self-contained modern cabins, close to the lake.Electric heating, winterinsulated...they are cool in the summer,and warm in the winter! Each with a furnished verandah overlooking the lake. Most suitable for four persons,they will sleep max.six. Bedroom,bathroom,and livingroom with kitchenette.
- Four large double-rooms in the Herrgård. Each with a view over Tiveden/Lake Vättern. Roomy, rustic, and memorable!
- Three single-room cottages with kitchenette,hot water,electric heating and lovely lake-view. Toilet and shower nearby.
- "Översten".."The Colonel" : built 1930 as Granvik's village schoolhouse, today it is a large roominghouse with nine rooms, fully equipped kitchen and large meeting-room. Room capacity: from 2 to 5 persons.
- "Utsikten".."The Outlook"...our tiny trailerpark surrounded by Granvik's Nature Preserve. For no more than 14 trailers/mobile homes: with electricity,toilets,show- ers.

Our quiet and secluded surroundings have contributed to many a successful and highly productive conference. Free of distractions, and, unlike larger hotels, our total flexibility to your needs, gives your conference guests the liberty to truely 'make themselves at home', and for you to plan your activities with none of the strictures normally found at larger facilities. Together, our unique and restful lodgings, the fresh air and magnificent forest and lake, and the good food, have helped create the stress-free atmosphere so important to concentration.
