Northern Pike
Season: the whole year
The Northern pike is everywhere in Sweden. But nowhere else it groves so fast, and to such a large specis as in the arhipelago. Average sizes is about 3-5kg, and it's not uncommon with big pikes running up to 10 -13kg (20-30lbs). Best season for real specimenfishing is from october - may, when giant pikes often are found on shallow water.
For the passionate pike-enthusiast I arrange special safaris to certain spots and arias. To visit this areas increases the chance to catch a "dreampike" a lot. This safaris can be done over a few days ore more. So far ( in august 2001) my clients has caught 11 pikes between 9,2 -13,8kg this season.
Best fishingmethods: spinnfishing with big lures - plugs and Rapalas. Allso angling with living bait, even from the ice in winter!

Walleye/Pikepearch
Season: may -july, jan - march (whole year)
The walleye is very "aggressive" and easy to find in spring and early summer. A "walleyday" becomes therefore often a day full of nice action. Normal sizes 1-4kg. Common with specis around 5-6kg. Best fishingmethods: angling with living bait, light tackle spinn with rubber jigs, trolling. All this fishing are taking place att daytime. During the winter I can allso offer a unique walleyefishing with living bait from the ice.

Seatrout
Season: October - may
The Seatrout has it's areas along the whole coastline. But the bigger ones is to be find on the Baltic east side. Normal weight 1-5kg. But fishes from 6-8kg are not rare, even bigger ones is catched now and then. Most fishing take place from boat, but there are very nice and productive areas where fishing from land is realy good. Best fishingmethods are light tackel spinning with small spoons and special lures. In some areas trolling.

Atlantic(Baltic) Salmon
Season: May - july
Every spring and early summer giant Atlantic Salmons mowes along the eastcoast to the rivers up in the north of Sweden. During this trip a big number of Salmons are catched in certain areas of the archipelago every year. They use to weight in between 10 -18kg, but it is not uncommon with fishes over 20kg, and specis over 25kg are allso catched. Method of fishing is trolling.
As a client one should be aware of that it sometimes can go many hours between strikes from this trophyfishes. But to catch one is allso an unforgivebly experience.

Landlocked Atlantic Salmon and Browntrout
Season: oktober - may ( the whole year)
Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern are two of Europes larges lakes. They are allso outstanding
worldwide, regarding fishing for Landlocked Atlantic Salmon. There is a hughe number of hardfighting fishes from 3-10kg in each lake (the unofficial world record 20,4kg /44,88lb was caught in lake Vättern). The Browntrout in Lake Vänern is in the same fine average sizes
from 3 -10kg. So there is a fairly good chans to get in to some realy good action during a fishingday. Actualy it's more normal to catch 10-15 fishes during a day than none! In lake Vättern there is allso a stock of arctic chair in normal sizes from 1-5kg. Best fishing methods is trolling from boat. But specially in lake Vättern there are allso very good options
to catch Salmons from the chore/cliffs - spinnfishing and flyfishing.

Pearch
Season: the whole year Top - May, Sept - Now
In some periods this fishing is very good and with high intence. Normal sizes from 0,4kg - 1,5kg. The best methods is to fish with living bait, but even the fishing with light tackel spinn and with rubber jigs is working wery well. As a bonus there is often a pike or a walleye striking.

Herring
Season: May - jun
To fish for Herring in the archipelago is very popular in Sweden in the springtime and early summer when the herring appear in hughe amounts. It,s an easy fishing, and every one who practise catches a lot of fishes at a short time. A couple of hours with herringfishing can be combined with a nice sightseeingtour. But one can allso use the herring as living bait and fish for pike, walleye, pearch and seatrout. I have a lot of good spoots for this kind of multiple and very wellcatching fishingmethod!
